CEO Linda Harnevo: Why I Founded LifeOnKey

Welcome to our new LifeOnKey company blog. Our goal for this blog is to give you some insight on our company and the people behind the scenes who are working hard to give you the tools and services you need to take charge of your health and wellbeing – along with the health and wellbeing of those you love. But first I want to give you a little background on why I started this company.

My decision to found LifeOnKey was a very personal one. Five years ago my brother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. He had several complications. And although he had doctors who were very expert in each in their specific medical fields – my brother-in-law had to make the real decisions. But how do you make these very important decisions without a comprehensive view of your medical information?

As a family, we really didn’t believe we had all of the relevant information about his medical history, let alone ways of understanding it. That’s when I knew I had to do something and solve this problem; a problem that other families face every day.

The more I researched the lack of empowerment we face as patients, I found that all of us are in the dark when it comes to our health. I have spent much time trying to solve this systemic problem and building a general solution. While doing so I realized that healthcare is the only vital part of our lives that we totally rely on others for the information we need to make decisions when it comes to our care.

If you think about it — we aren’t active participants in managing our health information in the same way we are when it comes to our finances, taxes, or any other important part of our life.

That’s why I wanted to build a comprehensive innovative solution that enables consumers to be in touch with their medical information, be empowered consumers and patients and enable all of us to make the best decisions regarding our health and the health of our loved ones.

So – I am very pleased to introduce LifeOnKey™.

LifeOnKey™ is a secure and easy to use personal health management system that allows you to assemble a health profile based on medical records from various providers. Plus, we’ve made sure to provide interactive health management tools to empower you to take control of your health.
